Bakewell Cake
Let's talk flavours!
A good bakewell tart is already a favourite here at Cutter & Squidge, how can we enjoy it more? By making it into a cake! First we bake gloriously moist almond wheat-free sponge, dotted with sweet amarena cherries and crunchy flaked almonds.
We then sandwich these together with the lightest vanilla buttercream and fruity raspberry jam. This cake is then finished off with vanilla icing, toasted almonds, chopped cherries and a few freeze-dried raspberries to get that delicious sweet, fruity and nutty bakewell tart taste we love!
Our postable cakes also arrive in a beautiful bespoke embossed Cutter & Squidge tin, making this a perfect 2-in-1 gift.

Wheat Free Vanilla Sponge: sugar, xanthan gum, ground almonds (NUTS), gluten free flour: rice, potato, tapioca, maize, buckwheat, baking powder, butter (MILK), egg (EGG), amarena cherries: sugar, wild cherries, glucose syrup, water, wild cherry juice, citric acid, natural flavourings, colour anthocyanins; Flaked Almonds (NUTS); Buttercream: sugar, butter (MILK), vanilla bean, rice vinegar, condensed milk (MILK): milk (MILK), sugar; Raspberry Jam: raspberry puree, sugar, pectin, citric acid; Icing: lemon puree: lemon juice and flesh, sugar; sugar, citric acid; Freeze dried Raspberries; Almonds (NUTS).
How your cake arrives
The cake is protected with a card collar around the cake and boards on the top and bottom, which is then packed inside a biodegradable bag. This helps remove the cake easily from the tin without anything getting damaged.
